Directions

Describe how you spoke to your subject(s)

I gently asked them to stand against the railing of the bridge, throw their arms and head back.

What did you say?

Walk over to that spot (pointing to exactly where you want them to be) and lean back and throw your arms behind you. Can you look up as well? Yeah, perfect!

Composition

I could see the lines of the railing and the cars coming in the opposite direction, so I gently asked them to stay in the position indicated. The lines created by the car lights also aided in this composition as they create leading lines through out the image. This allows the viewer to naturally explore the whole image.

The way the EXIF is written out follows the common photographic method (with the inclusion of White Balance at the end). Here it is broken down:

Shutter Speed @ Aperture ISO White Balance.

Light & Weather

It was already the end of the elopement, we were at Blue Hour and so it was perfect! The light at this time was very very soft and easy to work with; and since the direction of the light didn’t play a big role here, it meant that I could focus on putting the couple in the right composition.

Don’t give up on your creative process, if you have an idea, no matter how small, don’t give up, talk to the couple and propose.

The photography world is so saturated with doing the same things that you can differentiate yourself from your competition just by better explaining your future actions.
