I just asked them to turn their faces towards the light and cover their eyes but feel their connection through their hands.
Put your hands over your eyes and just relax, feel that light that surrounds you.

The composition is simple but very focused on showing the couple “embraced” by this light that entered the window and formed this texture on the wall. About the couple’s pose, I looked for symmetry between the two in their movements and connection so that I could obtain a balanced photo.

The way the EXIF is written out follows the common photographic method (with the inclusion of White Balance at the end). Here it is broken down:

This light came in from a bricked window, so it formed a totally different texture. It was close to afternoon light, so it was still pretty intense. It’s always tricky to work with harsh light, but it’s always an incredible challenge.

I really wanted to reinforce the idea that this light painted the couple, as if they were part of this texture, so I used some radial filters and brushes in lightroom to darken the edges and bring more light to the couple as well.
“Fit” the couple perfectly and symmetrically in this light.
Calm down and think about what you are trying to represent at that moment.
